This game was written at Intercon XIV in Boston, Mass during a particularly interesting and enlightening opening ceremonies. At least, I assume it was enlightening and interesting; Scott and I were busy writing this game. For the record, Scott prefers the name Heiferdammerung. Feel free to refer to the game in any way you wish.
The game explores the last minutes of a herd of cattle as they travel through the Abattoir. It probably shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes to play. You might w... (read more)
This scenario is a gathering of mice in a panel inside the wall. Outside, in the room, lies a multitude of cheese, sausage, and other foods. Unfortunately, patrolling around the food is a large, hungry cat. If the cat were belled, the mice could hear it coming and escape, but who is to bell the cat?
A couple of considerations: First, whichever mouse goes to bell the cat will die! It doesn't matter if you are super-powered or a toon or have a very clever plan. You might succeed in belling the ... (read more)
Colonel Sebastian T. Rawhide's Circus of the Spectacular is a 4-hour secrets and powers larp for for 14-22 players and 3 GMs. It is full of high weirdness and low melodrama. It is four hours of strange, silly fun with serious undercurrents and emotional attachments.

Here are three "games" we play when we are practicing our "boffer" swordplay. A "boffer" or live-combat game simulates combat by hitting your opponent with a padded weapon.
The purpose of these games is to help with your swordplay and team play. They are simple and fun, and light on plot. Remember, you will only get better if you practice with people better than yourself, and practice with a variety of people to learn different styles.
This is a good game for a party or social gathering, since many players will not be actively involved in the plot, at least at first. As the GM, you will need to photocopy the information sheets many, many times. You will also need a good supply of two kinds of small stickers. I suggest green and red dots, but the decision is yours.

It's 3:00 in the morning at the neighborhood laundromat, and that has attracted a number of colorful customers. The laundromat has been having some problems with the dryers being connected to the air circulation system, so everybody's laundry has gotten all mixed up. Join us, won't you, for a little tale of angst we like to call Enchanted Laundromat.
Enchanted Laundromat is a trading game for six people: two males, three females, and one that could be male or female (Bosco). The object of... (read more)
This a good game for a party as it can take place in the background. Each player is a member of one or more secret societies. Each secret society has a secret phrase. The object for each player is to figure out the most secret phrases by observing the other party members and trying to blend into the different secret societies.
Two characters. One foxhole. Forty five minutes. No GM. Gunner & Sarge is a short intense larp of surprise twists set in the mittle of an alien battlefield. Comes with a soundtrack which needs to be played during the larp.
I wrote this scenario to try to test the boundaries of what people think LARP is. It was influenced by the Jeepform larps. Read the first larp and ask yourself if it is LARP. Then read the second and ask the same question. And then ask yourself why you had two different answers.
It all started when Moses Claus (of Chrismukkah) and Chanukah Harry hatched a plan. All of the winter holidays live in the shadow of Christmas, but Moses Claus saw which way the wind was blowing. It would be better to try to get a part of the psychic real estate by joining forces into a several month long holiday called Holiday Season.
So, he worked with Chanukah Harry to call a meeting of all the representatives of the holidays to try to find a way they can join forces. But, only Moses Claus... (read more)
The monsters in the forest are tired of the humans hunting them, killing them, and stealing their treasure. They have sued for peace. This is a hilarious game of diplomacy and negotiations for up to six players and 1 GM.
We are including two versions of the game for download. The RTLB game uses the RTLB system to resolve conflicts. The systemless game is for players who want a game of pure roleplaying with no mechanics OR for GMs who want to use their own system for the scenario.

This game was written at a party given by Eric and Christine Smith. It was just after the movie Mummy hit the theaters and I was pigeonholed by several different people all telling me about the same scene. It seems that there was a scene in which a group of people got together to discuss a problem and it was revealed that they were all working for different secret organizations and that they all had their own agendas. It was, the partygoers said, just like a secret meeting in my hotel room at... (read more)

MENKS is a combat resolution system that works best for cinematic or silly games. The combatants play cards with various sound effects, attemping to be the last to play a card. The sound effects must be said aloud, of course.
Hey! MENKS is now available for sale at The Game Crafter. Buy it there and save yourself the trouble of printing it out. Also the cards there look nicer and more professional and everything!
A group of omnipotent, plot driven entities known as the Omniseers have kidnapped a number of Batmen from across time and space and forced them to choose one to be the true Batman.
Penis Goes Where is a playing card based sex mechanic for LARPs.
Pizza Quest is not so much a game as it is a simulation of real life. Practically everyone has gone through the pizza ordering process at least once: a group of people decide to order out for some pizza, and then spend the next hour or so arguing about what should be on it. Pizza Quest provides a set of rules that allows you to experience all the excitement, social interaction, and cutthroat competition without the hunger pangs or shattered friendships.
Pizza Quest may be run either as a stan... (read more)

The Road Not Taken is an experimental LARP of decisions and emotions. In it, each player will have the opportunity to take the spotlight in a scene and make a tough decision. The game can handle 6-12 players.
The scenes in The Road Not Taken are not continuous. There is no continuity of plot or character for each scene. Before each scene, the players will get new characters specific to that scene. Think of the game as 6-12 mini LARPs each lasting about 10 minutes, but building to a whole.
